Dr. Anthony Scheiber, DVM

Anthony received his DVM from the University of Minnesota in 1969. He served an internship with Angell Memorial Hospital, in Massachusetts, from 1969-1970. He practiced small animal surgery in Minneapolis from 1970-1972. During his 1972-1974 Marshall, MN mixed animal practice, he developed an autogenous vaccine program. Anthony owned a mixed animal practice in Mora, MN from 1974-1980, with an emphasis on swine medicine. He then owned a swine consulting practice in Morris, MN from 1980-1987, consulting in 20 states, plus Canada and Japan. He also consulted for a swine genetics company and developed swine record and nutrition programs. In 1987, he began his present position as swine consultant in Cody, WY. Besides Newsham Choice Genetics, he consults for feed companies, private producers, and to Salmon Creek Marketing Association. He has developed non-antibiotic growth enhancers. Anthony was one of only six ABVP-boarded diplomates certified in swine health management in 1994. He recertified in 2004. From 1994-2002, he served as vice-chair of credentials and testing for ABVP diplomates. He continues to lecture about swine production nationally and internationally.
